Mingxiu (Michelle) Li received her Ph.D. (2007) degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Edinburgh. Her B.S. (1999) degree in energy and power engineering and M.S. (2002) degree in engineering thermophysics are from Xi'an Jiaotong university (XJTU), China. From 2002 to 2003, Michelle worked as a research assistant at the University of Hong Kong.

Michelle joined TUFFP as a research associate from September 2007. She is currently working on high viscosity oil - water emulsion rheology
